Hillcrest, BR teams split games

The Black Rock Zebras defeated Hillcrest 65-56 in senior boys basketball Tuesday night at Black Rock.

Tyler Newell scored 20 points, while Joe Paul Carey added 18 points for Black Rock.

Derek Wooten led Hillcrest with 16 points. Dylan Wooten scored 14, and Logan Spray had 10 for the Eagles.

Senior girls

The Hillcrest Lady Screamin' Eagles overcame a halftime deficit to post a 70-59 win over the Black Rock Lady Zebras Tuesday night at Black Rock.

Mackenzie Nunnally paced Hillcrest with 20 points. Natalie Johnson scored 17 points, and Tamara Evans added 15 for the Lady Eagles.

Teri Aden led Black Rock with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Stallings and Megan Jones each had 15 points for the Lady Zebras.
