BR beats Greyhounds

The Black Rock Lady Zebras used a strong fourth quarter to defeat Sloan-Hendrix 66-51 in senior girls basketball on Nov. 10 at Black Rock.

The game was close for the first three periods, with Black Rock holding slim leads of 17-16 at the end of the first quarter, 30-29 at halftime and 41-39 after three quarters. The Lady Zebras outscored their visitors 25-12 in the final period to secure the victory.

Amy Galbreath led Black Rock with 20 points, and Meagan Jones added 14 points. Teri Aden had 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Lady Zebras.

Sloan-Hendrix won the junior girls game 30-21.

Senior boys

The Black Rock senior boys defeated the Greyhounds 62-33.

Tadd Fore had 20 points, and Khris Foster added 16 for the Zebras.
