Black Rock falls to BayNathan HibbardStaff Writer The Bay Yellowjackets outlasted the Black Rock Zebras 59-53 in senior boys basketball Thursday night at Bay. Black Rock led 13-11 after one quarter, 29-25 at halftime and 39-37 at the end of three periods. Tadd Fore led Black Rock with 15 points. Tyler Newell and Joe Paul Carey each had 13 points for the Zebras.
The Black Rock Lady Zebras lost 62-40 to the Lady Yellowjackets in senior girls action. Teri Aden led the Lady Zebras with 18 points and 16 rebounds.
The Black Rock senior boys defeated Twin Rivers 65-26 on Nov. 9 at Ravenden Springs. The Zebras were in charge from the outset, scoring the first 27 points of the game. Hunter Horton scored 16 points to lead Black Rock. Carey had 14 points and Khris Foster added 10.
The Black Rock Lady Zebras defeated Twin Rivers 58-49. Aden led the Lady Zebras with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Amy Galbreath had 18 points and Hailey Slusser added nine for Black Rock.
