Zebras defeat Buffalo Island

Black Rock defeated Buffalo Island Central 65-33 on homecoming night in senior boys basketball Friday at Black Rock.

Joe Paul Carey led the Zebras with 16 points. Tadd Fore had 11 points and seven assists, and Tyler Newell added 11 points.

BIC won the junior boys contest 38-14. Buffalo Island Central handed the Black Rock Lady Zebras their first loss of the season, 46-44, in senior girls action.

Teri Aden led Black Rock with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

The Black Rock senior boys defeated Weiner 60-25 in their 1A-3 East conference opener Nov. 3 at Black Rock.

Tadd Fore led the Zebras with 18 points, and Joe Paul Carey added 16. Hunter Horton scored eight points and gathered 11 rebounds.

The Black Rock Lady Zebras improved to 4-0 on the season with a 55-36 victory over Weiner.

Aden led Black Rock with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Amy Galbreath added 13 points, while Hailey Slusser scored 11.
