Mustangs earn homecoming win
Irvin's first score came on a 41-yard run with 9:37 to play in the first quarter. Jeremy Anglin kicked the extra point to put the Mustangs ahead 7-0.
Hoxie extended their lead later in the period on a 35-yard scoring run by Dillon Williamson. Anglin's PAT was good for a 14-0 Mustang advantage.
WR earns win at Marked TreeWalnut Ridge's Bennett Dudley rushed for three touchdowns and passed for another as the Bobcats used a 24-point fourth quarter to break open a close game to defeat the Marked Tree Indians 32-8 at Marked Tree Friday night.continued...
Hoxie earns volleyball
Crosstown rivals Hoxie and Walnut Ridge met on the volleyball court on Oct. 6 at Hoxie's Hicks Gymnasium, with the Lady Mustangs coming away with victories in both the junior high and senior high matches.
