WR receives JAG grantWalnut Ridge Mayor Michelle Rogers announced on Monday that the city has learned they will receive $60,000 in grant money from the Arkansas Recovery and Reinvestment Act.The grant is stimulus money through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. "We received word on Friday that we had received the grant," Rogers said. "The money will be used to purchase and equip two new police cars for the city." "We bought two cars for the police department last year, and really need the two more we will now be able to purchase," she said.
