County receives grant

The Quorum Court was informed at its meeting Monday night that a state grant of $50,000 has been awarded to the Lawrence County Sherriff's Department to be used to improve the county's informational technology.

Golf Club appeals decision
The Walnut Ridge Golf Club's attorney, C.W. Knauts of Piggott, has filed an appeal with the Arkansas Court of Appeals, asking that the court reverse Judge Harold Erwin's decision to grant a summary judgment in favor of the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport and the City of Walnut Ridge on June 5.

WR receives JAG grant
Walnut Ridge Mayor Michelle Rogers announced on Monday that the city has learned they will receive $60,000 in grant money from the Arkansas Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
