Walnut Ridge falls
to Lady Redskins
The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats volleyball teams traveled to Pocahontas on Sept. 21.
The senior high lost a hard-fought five-game match to the Lady Redskins 25-18, 13-25, 25-23, 20-25, 11-15.
Josie Wagoner was 10-of-10 serving, with two aces, four kills and 10 digs. Regan Jean was 12-of-14 serving and had seven digs. Emily Holder was 16-of-19
from the line, with seven aces and 10 assists. Amanda Emison had three aces, four kills and eight digs.
Ashley Baker was 15-of-18 serving, with an ace and eight digs. Ashton Lawson served 10-of-11, with four aces and had 11 assists. Katie Lewis had six kills and three blocks, and Daniel Vaughn had 10 kills and seven blocks.
Pocahontas won the junior high match in three games 25-11, 21-25, 25-19.
Anna Bland was 11-of-11, with eight aces, seven kills and eight digs. Hannah Massey was 11of-11, with three aces and had 12 digs. Caroline Kelley was seven-of-seven, with two aces, a kill and seven digs.
