WR competes in tri-match

The Walnut Ridge High School golf team competed in a nine-hole tri-match at RidgePointe Country Club in Jonesboro on Sept. 1.

Valley View won the play-four, count-three tournament with a team score of 111. Ridgefield Christian was second with a 128, followed by Walnut Ridge with a 145.

Individually for the Bobcats, John-Scott Kelley shot a 44, Rob Rainwater recorded a 47 and Clay Hufstedler carded a 54.

In girls competition, Walnut Ridge's Allyson Smith shot a 59 to finish tied for second place, four strokes behind the winner. The Lady Cats' Mackenzie Britton shot a 60.
