"They physically wore us down," said Walnut Ridge head coach Larry Treadway. "We were able to hang in there with them for nearly three quarters, but we ran out of gas."
After a scoreless first quarter, during which both defenses played well, Cave City tallied the game's first points on a 15-yard run with 4:34 to play in the first half. The two-point conversion gave the Cavemen an 8-0 halftime lead.

The Hoxie Lady Mustangs volleyball team hosted Crowley's Ridge Academy on Thursday. The Lady Falcons swept the match by scores of 25-20, 25-13, 25-13.
