DRILL HELD AT AIRPORT ~ The Walnut Ridge Regional Airport's Swindle Field was the site of a multi-county disaster drill hosted by Lawrence County on Tuesday. The drill simulated the crash of a C-130 military aircraft carrying hazardous materials. nearly complete

It was reported that renovations at Lawrence Hall Nursing Center are nearing completion at the Lawrence Health Services Board of Directors meeting on Aug. 24.

Planning continues for the annual Iron Mountain Festival, which will be held Oct. 24 in downtown Walnut Ridge.

Alicia under boil order

The Town of Alicia has been under a water boil order since Aug. 11, according to Glenn Greenway, engineering superintendent for the Arkansas Department of Health.
