TD HOSTS OPEN HOUSE ~ Velma and Jack Allison of Walnut Ridge look at photos on display during The Times Dispatch's open house on Thursday afternoon. The Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event also marked the TD's 100th year of publication. Approximately 100 attended the event. The photos will remain on display in The Times Dispatch lobby through the month of August.

WR adds
teeth to
dog laws

The Walnut Ridge City Council voted to tighten its guidelines for the regulation of dogs within the city limits and agreed to hire three more firefighters at their regular meeting on Aug. 11.

Hoxie Council

project, rezoning,
new subdivision

Milton Smith briefly described recent progress made by the NEA Intermodal Authority board of directors to Hoxie City Council members at their Aug. 11 meeting.

Square Post Buildings celebrates 30 years

The Hoxie Service Center was filled to capacity as approximately 300 people enjoyed a 30-year anniversary customer appreciation dinner courtesy of Square Post Buildings of Arkansas on Aug. 9. The catfish dinner was catered by Cajun Express of Wheatley.

Conservation District hosts area meeting

The Lawrence County Conservation District hosted the East Central Area meeting of the Arkansas Association of Conservation Districts on Aug. 6 at Williams Baptist College.
