Walton named S-H superintendent
The Sloan-Hendrix School Board met in special session on Thursday night and hired Mitch Walton, who just completed his 25th year at the school, as the new superintendent.

Walton has served as high school principal for the school, which is located in Imboden, since the fall of 1993.

Prior to that he served nine years as a social studies teacher and part-time federal programs coordinator.

Walton said the board is now working to fill the vacant high school principal's position.
