Lots drawn for school election

Lawrence County Election Commission Chairman Lee Turnbull and Election Commissioners Judy Verkler and Charles Morgan met at the Lawrence County Courthouse on Friday.

They drew lots for the names of candidates to be placed on the ballot for the upcoming school board election. The Hoxie High School Board, position 4, was the only position that required names drawn.

Names will be placed on the ballot in the following order: Tommy Kingsland, first; Kenny Lewis, second; Jeffrey Moskop, third; and Wesley Gates, fourth.
