Clover Bend launches siteGretchen Hunt
The Clover Bend Historical Preservation Association recently launched a new website. The site, which can be found at www.cloverbend.com, provides information about the historic site, recent and upcoming activities and the history of the town.
Rosie Bilbrey, Clover Bend Class of 1959, is serving as webmaster for the new site.
"She is doing a great job getting it off the ground," Dave Doyle, a member of the association and 1952 graduate, said.
He also noted that the East Arkansas Planning and Development District provided training and the program to set up the new site.
"They are very helpful and are interested in helping Arkansas non-profits and cities with their websites," he said.
Doyle also expressed gratitude to the individuals who operated the former Clover Bend website.
"Chester and Lester Warnick, Clover Bend Class of 1953, created our first website about 10 years ago," he said. "Lester passed away and both Chester and his wife have health problems, so he is not able to maintain the site."
Doyle said they hope individuals who visit the site will provide feedback about what they like and what could be better.
"All Clover Bend High School graduates and former students, as well as any other interested readers of The TD, are urged to go to the site and check us out," he said.
