Stewart Park has new addition
A new half-mile addition to the walking trail at Stewart Park in Walnut Ridge was recently completed. The addition was paid for with a $62,000 grant from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.

On Friday, Walnut Ridge Mayor Michelle Rogers, Alderman Johnnie Fears and Park Supervisor Charles Spargo met with David Burnette, Entergy service manager, to discuss lighting the city would like to place along the new y-shaped addition.
Holland retires from S-H
Sloan-Hendrix Supt. Mike Holland has retired, effective July 1, according to David Cook, who is serving as interim superintendent for the district in Imboden.
Clover Bend launches site
The Clover Bend Historical Preservation Association recently launched a new website. The site, which can be found at www.cloverbend.com, provides information about the historic site, recent and upcoming activities and the history of the town.
