Grogans compete at nationals

Lee and Robert Grogan of Paragould and Riley Adams of West Memphis represented Arkansas gymnasts at the 2009 men's national championship held May 6-10 in Cincinnati.

Lee Grogan qualified for the all-around finals, with his final standings placing him 32nd out of the 300 gymnasts who qualified to attend nationals. In the floor exercise event, he placed 16th and in the vault he placed 17th out of the same 300.

All three boys train at Champions Gymnastics Center in Paragould. They are coached by Darrin Grogan.

Lee and Robert Grogan are the sons of Bill and Sharon Grogan of Paragould and grandsons of Sue Broughton of Jonesboro, formerly of Walnut Ridge, and the late Bob Broughton. Riley Adams is the son of Barry and Lisa Adams of West Memphis.

"They all did extremely well, each one meeting the goals they had for themselves," Sharon Grogan said.
