Mullen receives
football honor
Zach Mullen has received the 2008-09 Brandon Burlsworth High School Football award for the Walnut Ridge Bobcats

Each year every high school football program in Arkansas nominates one player from their team to receive the award.

Mullen was chosen to represent the Walnut Ridge team.

Nominees must demonstrate drive, diligence to school and good moral character to be eligible for the award.

Burlsworth was an All-American offensive lineman for the Arkansas Razorbacks who was killed in an automobile accident 11 days after being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts.

Mullen is the son of Pam Mullen of Walnut Ridge.
