Hoxie's seventh-grade track team has completed its season winning first place in both meets they competed in. Hoxie Track members post wins
The seventh grade boys track team at Hoxie School placed first in recent meets held at Greene County Tech and Paragould.
Kyle Wilson earned a third-place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 27'5.5".
Mac Morris won the pole vault competition with a vault of 8 feet. Jacob Henson placed third with a vault of 7 feet, and Jake Bigger was fifth with a vault of 6'6".
Henson won the high jump with a leap of 4'11".
Colton Brown won the discus with a throw of 89'6". Jackson Russell was fourth with a throw of 77'7".
Zac Manus was fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.
Caleb Johnson finished fourth in the 200-meter with a time of 28.95 seconds.
Robert Vaughn finished third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.24 seconds, and third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.90 seconds.
Jake Bigger won the mile run with a time of 6:15.08.
The team of Slade Sullens, Henson, Johnson and Manus won the 4x100 relay.
Seventh grade girls
Courtney Sears won the triple jump with a jump of 25'6".
Brandi Alls won the pole vault with a vault of 7 feet. Sears was second with a vault of 6 feet.
Alls placed fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:58.99, and finished fifth in the long jump with a jump of 11'6".
Junior high girls
The Hoxie junior high girls recently competed in the Greene County Tech Relays and the Lady Ram Relays.
Krista Coffell won the pole vault with a vault of 9'6" and also won the long jump with a jump of 32'4".
Alyssa Coggins placed third in the pole vault with a vault of 7'6" and finished sixth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 15.52 seconds.
Cheryl Adams and Kayla Coffell earned points by placing in the shot put and discus events.
Senior high girls
Kelce Misner scored 10 points by placing in the long jump, triple jump and 100-meter dash.
