Erwin to consider
motion in case
Representatives from the Walnut Ridge Golf Club, the city of Walnut Ridge and the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport have been scheduled to appear in circuit court before Judge Harold Erwin on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Randolph County Courthouse.
The court date was originally set for today at 10 a.m. at the Lawrence County Courthouse; however, that date was a scheduling error from the judge's office.
Rather than wait until June to hear the airport and city's motion for summary judgment and the golf club's response to the motion in Lawrence County Circuit Court, Erwin asked them to appear in Randolph County on Thursday.
Erwin can take the case under advisement, rule in favor of one party or the other, set a date for a jury trial or send the case to federal court. Should he rule in favor of either side, the ruling can be appealed to the Arkansas Court of Appeals.
