SHHS names honor grads
Mitch Walton, Sloan-Hendrix High School principal, has announced the honor graduates of the Class of 2009.
Valedictorian is Ryan Difani.
Difani is the son of Derrick and Cindy Difani of Pocahontas. He has a 4.00 grade point average and plans to attend Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge.
The co-salutatorians are April Smith and Tasha Keough.
Smith is the daughter of Terry and Debbie Smith of Imboden and Patty Cox of Black Rock.
Keough is the daughter of Brian and Kim Keough of Imboden. She plans to attend Black River Technical College in Pocahontas.
Honor graduates include Latricia Mans, Shawn Archer, Heather Guerin, Samantha Smith, Chasity Collins, Chelsea Broadway, Cody Needham and Tyler Brown.
Mans is the daughter of Thurman and Deborah Mans of Imboden and plans to attend Williams Baptist College.
Archer, who is the son of Randy and Misty Archer of Imboden, plans to attend Black River Technical College.
Geurin, who plans to attend Williams Baptist College, is the daughter of Terry and Debbie Smith of Imboden.
Smith is the daughter of Von and Terri Smith of Pocahontas. She plans to attend Arkansas Tech in Russellville.
Collins, daughter of John and Angela Briggs and Johnny Collins of Pocahontas, plans to attend Black River Technical College.
Broadway plans to attend Black River Technical College. She is the daughter of Bill Broadway and Rebecca Collins of Imboden.
Cody Needham is the son of Adam and Jackie Needham of Imboden. He plans to attend Black River Technical College.
Tyler Brown, whose plans are undecided, is the son of Danny and Lori Brown of Dalton.
Each of these students will be recognized at the commencement exercises to be held in the Sloan-Hendrix Athletic Complex at 7 p.m. on May 15.
