Walk of Hope success despite rain

The Seventh Annual Lawrence County Walk of Hope was held Saturday morning at Stewart Park.

Despite rainy weather, more than 50 people walked to show their support for those in the community with cancer, as well as those who have been lost.

Carolyn Fowler, co-president said, "Cancer does not stop for rain and neither will we!"

The Hoxie City Council listened to concerned citizens on a variety of topics at its meeting on April 14.

WR receives lower ISO rating

The Walnut Ridge City Council discussed its new ISO rating, trash pickup for holiday weekends, illegal parking on city streets and the ongoing storm debris cleanup at its regular meeting on April 14.
