Screamin' Eagles clinch

The Hillcrest Screamin' Eagles defeated Izard County Consolidated 17-2 in high school baseball action last week. With the win, Hillcrest clinched the 1A-2 West conference championship with a 7-0 league mark.
Dylan Wooten earned the win on the mound to improve to 3-1 on the season.
At the plate for Hillcrest, Jordan Hunter went 3-for-3 with two home runs. Derek Wooten had two hits, including a home run. Dylan Wooten batted 3-for-3 with a double. Marcus Huskey, Kyle Bristow, Tyler Parker, Trevor Morgan and Taylor Neeley all had hits.
The Screamin' Eagles will carry a 15-3 overall record into the regular season finale Thursday at Black Rock. The 1A-2 District Tournament is scheduled to begin Saturday at Black Rock.
Tuckerman
Hillcrest traveled to Tuckerman on April 6 and was defeated 13-3 by the Bulldogs.
