Bobcats beat S-H, remain
undefeated in conference

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats baseball team put the finishing touch on an undefeated 2A-2 conference season with a 21-9 rout of Sloan-Hendrix on Thursday at Walnut Ridge.

The Bobcats put their visitors away early, scoring 10 runs in the first inning.

Brandon Dawson had four hits and four RBIs to lead the Cats' offense. Paul Rainwater finished with two hits and three RBIs. William Wilcoxson and Rob Rainwater had two hits apiece.

Matt Wall pitched 3-1/3 innings to earn the win.

For Sloan-Hendrix, Colton Witt had two hits, including a home run.

Walnut Ridge will be the top seed in the 2A-2 District Tournament to be played April 16-18 at Cotter.
