WR teams post wins

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats and Lady Bobcats were both in action on the diamond on March 9.


The Bobcat baseball team hosted Trumann and recorded a 12-0 victory over the Wildcats.

Logan Gaither led the Cats at the plate, with three hits and three RBIs. Curtis Jackson and Luke Holloway drove in two runs apiece.

Paul Rainwater started on the mound for Walnut Ridge and pitched a five-inning no-hitter. Rainwater had 11 strikeouts and walked two.


The Lady Bobcats softball team traveled to Pocahontas and earned a 10-5 win over the Lady Redskins.

Alivia Hackworth pitched a complete game to earn the win for the Lady Cats. Hackworth allowed five hits and three walks, while striking out six in seven innings of work.

Offensively, Hackworth recorded three hits, and Taylor Wagoner had two hits for Walnut Ridge.
