BR students place in FBLA events
Members of Black Rock School's Future Business Leaders of America chapter attended the District II Spring Conference on Feb. 11 at Nettleton High School in Jonesboro. Black Rock had 12 students, along with Sonya Orrick, FBLA adviser, attend the event. The students competed in different fields, all having to do with business. Several students placed in competitions and qualified for the District II State Leadership Conference to be held in Little Rock April 7-8. They are: Shanda Whitlow, first, Marketing; Cager Ridge, first, Networking Concepts; Megan Jones, fifth, Introduction To Parliamentary Procedure; Adam Whitmire, sixth, Computer Problem Solving; and Sarah Sloan, sixth, Introduction To Business Communication. Other Black Rock students attending were Holly Beasley, Haley Slusser, Traycie Webb, Meghan Truitt, Felicia Russell, Amber Lamb and Lexi Harris.
