Hoxie's Dakota Richardson will continue his time on the gridiron after he graduates from HHS in May.
Richardson signed his letter of intent to play football at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., where he will play tight end and halfback. He played those positions, as well as receiver, for the Mustangs.
"I'm excited about being able to play at the Division 2 level and having a chance to compete," Richardson said.
His parents, Bryan and Vicki Richardson, and his brother, Jordan Richardson, were among those on hand for the signing.
He will be joined by teammate Josh Cypret at Lambuth University.
Richardson said the HHS coaches definitely had a big impact on his life.
"They're the best around," he said. "They worked us hard, but at the end of the day, we knew they cared about us."
Richardson recorded an 85 percent blocking grade during his senior season.
HHS head coach Tom Sears said Richardson and his fellow HHS signees earned their scholarships by working hard on the field and in the classroom.
