Lady Zebras sustain losses

Brookland's Lady Bearcats defeated Black Rock 59-51 in senior girls basketball Friday night at Black Rock.

Amy Galbreath scored12 points, and Holly Beasley added 11 for Black Rock.

Brookland won the junior girls game 35-21.

Crowley's Ridge Academy

Crowley's Ridge Academy defeated the Lady Zebras 51-39 on Jan. 20 at Paragould.

Black Rock led 8-7 at the end of the fi rst quarter, but the Lady Falcons played a strong second period to move into a 26-14 lead at the end of the first half. CRA continued to control the game in the second half and held a 40-24 lead at the end of three quarters.

Maynard

Maynard's Sarah Blackwell recorded a triple-double to lead the Lady Tigers to a 67-40 victory over Black Rock on Jan. 19 at Black Rock.

Hoxie returned to the hardwood in the third period and captured a 31-29 lead. The Mustangs went on to win the game 44-40.

Stephanie Bagwell led Black Rock with 15 points, and Hailey Slusser added 12.
