Black Rock boys win threeNathan Hibbard Staff Writer Black Rock defeated Ridgefield Christian 57-41 in senior boys basketball Friday night at Black Rock. Black Rock led 25-20 at halftime and 48-30 after three quarters. Les Foster led the Zebras with 17 points. Tadd Fore scored 11 points and had five assists. Tyler Roby had 10 rebounds. Black Rock is now 9-2 in 1A-3 East conference play and 15-8 overall. Black Rock defeated Ridgefi eld Christian 34-32 in the junior boys contest. Tyler Newell led the junior Zebras with 12 points. Tyler Roby scored off an offensive rebound with less than three seconds to play as the Zebras defeated Crowley's Ridge Academy 57-56 on Jan. 20 at Paragould. Foster led Black Rock with 12 points, and Garrett Maronde added 11. The Black Rock junior boys slipped past CRA 43-42.
Black Rock defeated the visiting Maynard Tigers 76-62 on the strength of a 29-point performance from Foster. J.J. Nunally added 14 points, and Trent Morledge had 10 for the Zebras. In the junior boys game, Newell had 27 points and 15 rebounds to lead the junior Zebras past Maynard 42-34.
