Mustangs suffer
conference losses
The Hoxie Mustangs suffered a 69-59 conference road loss Saturday night at Piggott.
The basketball game was tied 26-26 at halftime,
before the Mohawks outscored Hoxie 20-12 in
the third quarter to take a 46-38 lead into the final period. Hoxie cut the lead
to 51-48 midway through the fourth quarter, but Piggott converted their free throws and pulled away for the win.

Black Rock boys win three
Black Rock defeated Ridgefield Christian 57-41
in senior boys basketball Friday night at Black
Rock.
Black Rock led 25-20 at halftime and 48-30 after three quarters. Les Foster led the Zebras
with 17 points. Tadd Fore scored 11 points and had five assists. Tyler Roby had 10 rebounds.

Brookland's Lady Bearcats defeated Black
Rock 59-51 in senior girls basketball Friday night at Black Rock.
Amy Galbreath scored12 points, and Holly Beasley added 11 for Black Rock.

standout, has begun his transformation from
player to coach. He played his final season with Arkansas State University in 2008, as ASU unveiled its new mascot, the Red Wolves..
