Zebras fall to BayNathan Hibbard
The Bay Yellowjackets defeated Black Rock 56-50 in senior boys basketball Friday night at Bay.
Black Rock held a 30-21 halftime lead, but the Yellowjackets used a third-quarter rally to tie the game 38-38 entering the final period. Bay outscored the Zebras 18-12 in the fourth quarter to take the win.
Tadd Fore led Black Rock with 12 points. Les Foster and Jay Nunally each had 10 points for the Zebras.
Black Rock fell to 6-2 in 1A-3 East conference play and 12-8 overall.
Bay won the junior high boys game 37-13.
The Black Rock senior girls lost to Bay 57-50 Thursday night at Bay. Teri Aden led the Lady Zebras with 19 points, and Stephanie Bagwell added 13.

Black Rock's Teri Aden scored on a lay-up just ahead of the buzzer to give the Lady Zebras a 45-43 win over visiting Armorel in senior girls basketball on Jan. 13.
Black Rock led 9-3 after one quarter, 27-16 at halftime and 38-31 after the third period.
Holly Beasley led Black Rock with 14 points, and Aden finished with 12.
The Black Rock senior boys defeated Armorel 83-68.
The Zebras opened up a 21-9 lead in the first quarter and led 40-20 at halftime. Armorel closed to within 12 points at 58-46 after three periods, but couldn't overcome the Zebras and suffered their first conference loss of the season.
J.J. Nunally had 15 points and nine rebounds, and Tyler Roby scored 15 points to lead Black Rock. Les Foster finished with 14 points, and Ben Walker added 12 for the Zebras.
Black Rock improved to 6-1 in 1A-3 East conference play and 12-7 overall.
Armorel edged past Black Rock 38-34 in the junior boys game.
