Massey named Miss Bobcat 2009

Walnut Ridge High School senior Carrie Massey was crowned the 2009 Miss Bobcat queen during the pageant held Saturday night at the community center. The pageant is sponsored annually by the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

Massey, who is the daughter of Cary and Raelyne Massey, was also named photogenic winner.

First runner-up and talent winner was Ashley Roacho, a freshman, and the daughter of Marvin and Laura Cook and Richard Roacho.

Second runner-up and People's Choice winner was Scout Davis, a freshman and the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Dirk Davis.

The Monetta Corbett Miss Congeniality award was presented to Jacquelynn Reeves, a freshman and the daughter of Jimmy and Julie Baker. Larry and Loretta Corbett give this award each year in memory of their daughter.
