BIC led 20-14 at the end of the first quarter and pulled away in the second period for a 37-21 halftime lead.
The Mustangs carried a 49-36 advantage into the final quarter and withstood a Hillcrest rally, which brought the Screamin' Eagles to within 55-48 at one point.
Hillcrest's comeback effort was hampered by poor free throw shooting, as the Eagles shot only 5-of-13 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter.
