Black Rock defeats Maynard

The Black Rock Zebras used a balanced scoring attack to defeat the Maynard Tigers 91-72 in senior boys basketball on Dec. 9 at Maynard.

Les Foster led the way with 19 points. Tyler Roby scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. J.J. Nunally had 17 points and nine rebounds. Tadd Fore scored 15 points, and Joe Paul Carey added 14.

The Zebras improved to 7-6 overall and 2-1 in 1A-3 South conference play.

Senior girls

Maynard's Lady Tigers defeated Black Rock 59-49.

Amy Galbreath scored 19 points to lead the Lady Zebras, and Holly Beasley added 11.

The Maynard junior high girls defeated Black Rock 35-14.
