WR teams earn wins

The Walnut Ridge Bobcats earned their first 2A-2 conference victory of the season with a 62-48 win over Sloan-Hendrix in senior boys basketball on Dec. 2 at Imboden.

Bennett Dudley led Walnut Ridge with 20 points, and Derek Medlock had 18.

Chad Orrick scored 13 points to lead Sloan-Hendrix.

Walnut Ridge's Ashley Baker scored 24 points to lead the Lady Bobcats to a 49-37 win over the Lady Greyhounds.

Walnut Ridge carried a commanding 38-20 lead into halftime, and led 40-30 after three periods.

Also for the Lady Cats, Chelsey Linebaugh scored six points, and Staci Spargo added three.

Sloan-Hendrix was led by Latricia Mans with 13 points, and Hannah Rowsey with 12.
