Six Hillcrest players scored in double figures as the Lady Screamin' Eagles defeated the Lady Bobcats 81-66. Tamara Evans scored 22 points to lead the Lady Eagles, followed by Breanna Doyle with 17. Natalie Johnson and Lauren Pickle each scored 11 points, while Miranda Doyle and Samantha Blevins scored 10 each. Ashley Baker led Walnut Ridge with 21 points, and Carrie Massey had 13. Lacey Cobble tallied nine points, and Alivia Hackworth had eight. Massey and Hackworth each grabbed six rebounds.
The Hillcrest senior boys defeated Walnut Ridge 65-54. The Screamin' Eagles led 19-16 at the end of the first quarter and then outscored the Bobcats 23-7 in the second period to build a 42-23 halftime advantage. Walnut Ridge played a strong third quarter to cut the Eagles' lead to five points, 53-48, entering the final period. Hillcrest was led by Jordan Hunter with 24 points, including six three-pointers, and Derek Wooten with 23 points. Bennett Dudley had 20 points to lead Walnut Ridge. Chris Dickson finished with 12 points, and Derek Medlock added 10 for the Bobcats.
The Hillcrest junior high boys slipped past Walnut Ridge 47-45.
