Hillcrest earns win

The Hillcrest Screamin' Eagles earned their first conference win of the season with a 62-52 win over the defending 1A state champions Izard County Consolidated Nov. 25 at Brockwell.

Hillcrest led 44-42 after three quarters, before outscoring the Cougars 18-10 in the final period to secure the win.

Trevor Morgan and Derek Wooten each recorded double-doubles to lead the Screamin' Eagles. Morgan tallied 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Wooten finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Mayland added 14 points.
