Mustangs beat Brookland

The Hoxie senior Mustangs opened the 2008-09 basketball season with a 73-52 victory over 3A-3 conference rival Brookland Nov. 25 at Brookland.

Hoxie led 12-8 after one quarter and moved out to 38-25 advantage at halftime.

The Mustangs were led by Coy Yasler with 17 points. Morgan Puckett had 13 points, and Justin Weitkamp added 10. Beau Sisco recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
