The 49th Annual Williams Baptist College Tournament got underway Saturday at the Southerland-Mabee Center on the WBC campus.

Hillcrest ~ WR boys

Four games were played in the boys bracket on Saturday, with seventh-seeded Hillcrest edging past 10th-seeded Walnut Ridge 59-54 in the nightcap.

Walnut Ridge led 15-14 after one quarter and 32-28 at halftime. The Bobcats built a 42-36 lead in the fourth quarter, before Derek Wooten led the Screamin' Eagles on their comeback.

Wooten scored 26 points for the game, including 13 in the decisive final period. Jordan Hunter had 13 points, and Trevor Morgan added 11 for Hillcrest.

Bennett Dudley and Derek Medlock each scored 15 points to lead Walnut Ridge. Brandon Dawson added 12, and Wesley Davis had seven for the Bobcats.

Pocahontas ~ S-H boys

Fourth-seeded Pocahontas defeated the 13th-seeded Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds 69-37.

The Redskins led all the way, holding a 15-10 advantage after the first quarter and increasing their lead to 35-24 at halftime. Pocahontas then put the game away by outscoring the Greyhounds 23-6 in the third period to take a 58-30 lead into the fourth quarter.

Austin Morgan led Sloan-Hendrix with 13 points, while Chad Orrick had seven. Zach Ogden and Eason Dearen each totaled six points.

Riverside ~ Viola boys

Jake Love scored 23 points to lead the ninth-seeded Riverside Rebels to a 54-45 victory over eighth-seeded Viola.

Marmaduke ~ Maynard boys

The sixth-seeded Marmaduke Greyhounds defeated 11th-seeded Maynard 73-56. Colton Hale scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Marmaduke.
