Hillcrest girls slam Norfork
Staff Writer The Hillcrest Lady Screamin' Eagles picked up their first conference win of the season with a 63-37 rout of Norfork Friday night at Lynn. Amber Glenn and Breanna Doyle each had 12 points to lead Hillcrest. Natalie Johnson had 11 points, while Tamara Evans and Lauren Pickle each scored 10. The Lady Eagles improved to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in the 1A-2 North conference.
The Cave City Cavewomen visited Lynn on Nov. 11 and handed the Lady Eagles a 61-35 defeat. The Lady Eagles committed 21 turnovers in the game, to only five for the Cavewomen. Samantha Blevins and Breanna Doyle had eight points apiece for Hillcrest. Evans, Johnson and Glenn each had four points. Miranda Doyle had three points, and Katelyn Hammock and Pickle had two points each. Lindsey Crews scored 17 points to lead the Hillcrest junior girls to a 39-16 win over Cave City. Sarah Saffell added eight points for the junior Lady Eagles. Mackenzie Nunnally, Morgan Penn and Kellie Beasley each had four points, and Kaylie Hammock had two.
