Mustangs earn title, playoff bye

The Hoxie Mustangs claimed a share of the 3A-3 conference championship with a 26-20 overtime win over previously undefeated Harrisburg Thursday night at Harrisburg. As the conference's top playoff seed, Hoxie receives a first-round bye and will host a second-round game in two weeks.

Competitive WR team
closes out season
Second-half turnovers proved costly for Walnut Ridge, as the BobcatsÕ playoff hopes were dashed by a 49-28 loss at Augusta Friday night.
"This was an up and down season and it didnÕt end the way we would have liked, but we were a competitive ball club every week," said Bobcat head coach Larry Treadway.
