Walnut Ridge and Hoxie squared off in 3A Northeast conference volleyball action at Walnut Ridge's Sharum Gymnasium on Oct. 7.

The Lady Bobcats won a hard-fought senior high match in four games 13-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

"The girls really came together as a team tonight. They were not having one of their best games, but they pulled together and battled their way through," said Lady Cats coach Lindy Baker.

"I have been impressed each game with their effort and how they never give up. Even after getting beaten pretty badly the first game of the match, they came back and took the next three. They just never gave up."

Chelsey Linebaugh was 26-of-27 serving, with six aces and had 10 assists, five digs and four kills. Amber Caldwell was 12-of-14 from the line, with an ace and had nine assists. Lacey Cobble served 14-of-15 and had eight kills, 18 digs and a block. Amanda Emison was 10-of-12 from the line, with two aces, and had seven kills and eight digs, and Emily Holder was 7-of-7 serving.
