Natalie Johnson of Hillcrest, a member of the Lady Screamin' Eagles golf team, competed in the Class 2A State Tournament on Sept. 30 at Belvedere Golf Resort in Hot Springs.
Johnson shot a score of 131 to finish 37th of 71 participants. Johnson qualified for the state tournament with her performance at the 2A Region 2 tournament at the Turkey Mountain Golf Course in Horseshoe Bend. She was the only Lady Eagles golfer to qualify for the regional tournament.
All four members of the Hillcrest boys' golf team competed in the boys' regional tournament at Cooper's Hawk Golf Course in Melbourne. Jordan Hunter led the Screamin' Eagles, followed by Travis Brady, Derek Wooten and Kyle Bristow.
