Lady Mustangs fall to CRA,

The Hoxie senior high and junior high volleyball teams traveled to Piggott Thursday and each came away with a loss.
The senior high battled the Lady Mohawks hard, before falling 26-24, 26-24, 25-19.
Chasity Becker was 10-of-10 from the line, with three aces, seven kills and eight assists. Courtney Jones had five digs, four kills and a block. Shayla Coats had 10 digs. Kelsey Lewis had 10 kills and three blocks. Erika Manis was 9-of-9 from the line, with an ace. Brianna Liscomb had four kills and three blocks. Kelsey Dobbs had five digs, and Devine Wilson had four blocks.
Piggott won the junior high match 25-18, 25-22.
Hali Pratt had five kills and three assists. Emily Freer had two digs and a kill. Sarah Manis had six kills and four assists. Maddison Woodard was 6-of-6 serving, with two aces and had three digs and a kill. Alyssa Coggins finished with two digs, three kills and a block. Courtney Sears had two digs, two kills and a block.
The Lady Mustangs hosted Crowley's Ridge Academy on Sept. 30.
CRA won the senior high match 23-25, 25-9, 25-10, 25-12.
For Hoxie, Becker had four assists and six kills. Jones had three blocks, four digs and two kills. Erika Manis had four digs. Lewis had four kills and a block. Liscomb had four kills. Amanda Whaley had five assists, and Dobbs had six digs.
The Hoxie junior high lost a tough three-game match to the Lady Falcons 26-24, 12-25, 17-25.
Pratt had 10 assists and a kill. Freer had three digs and three kills. Sarah Manis had five assists and a kill. Woodard had nine digs and three kills. Coggins had four digs and six kills, and Sears finished with two digs and four kills.
Hoxie hosted the Lady Redskins of Pocahontas in volleyball action on Sept. 29, with both the Lady Mustangs and junior Lady Mustangs picking up a win.

Coats was 20-of-20 serving, with five aces and two digs. Whaley went 17-of-17 from the line, with three aces and had 19 assists. Becker had eight kills and four assists. Jones had three aces, seven kills and seven blocks. Lewis and Liscomb each had three kills, and Dobbs had five digs.
The Hoxie junior high team rallied after dropping the opening game to win their match 18-25, 25-20, 25-14.
Freer was 8-of-8 from the line, with two aces. Sarah Manis was 5-of-5 from the line and had two assists and a kill. Pratt had four assists, two kills and three digs. Woodard had an ace, two digs and three kills. Mackenzie Allison had two aces and a dig, and Coggins had two digs and seven kills.
