Bobcats maul Salem
After experiencing a pair of tough losses the past two weeks, the Walnut Ridge Bobcats got back in the win column with a 44-0 mauling of 2A-3 conference foe Salem on Friday at Salem.

In addition to playing as a running back, Wilcoxson is a defensive leader at the middle linebacker position for the Bobcats, with 61 tackles on the season. As of last week, he led the Jonesboro Sun circulation area with 53 tackles. His single-game high was 21 against McCroy.

Walnut Ridge found the end zone early, scoring on the opening drive of the game. Quarterback Jared Blackwell capped the drive with a five-yard run and Tim Cummins added the extra point for a 7-0 Bobcat lead with 4:43 to play in the first quarter.
The Bobcats added to their lead when Blackwell scored on a 10-yard run with 1:38 remaining in the second period. Cummins PAT made the score 14-0.
Hoxie suffers first loss
The Rivercrest Colts used some big plays to pull off a 27-26 upset win over the Hoxie Mustangs Friday night at Crider Field.
Lady Mustangs fall to CRA,
The Hoxie senior high and junior high volleyball teams traveled to Piggott Thursday and each came away with a loss.

Lady Screamin' Eagle
qualifies for state
Natalie Johnson of Hillcrest, a member of the Lady Screamin' Eagles golf team, competed in the Class 2A State Tournament on Sept. 30 at Belvedere Golf Resort in Hot Springs.
Bobcat golfers finish
The Walnut Ridge High School golf team competed in the Class 2A State Tournament Monday on the Golf Course on Turkey Mountain at Horseshoe Bend.
