Bobcat tennis team competes

The Walnut Ridge High School tennis team competed in two matches last week.

On Thursday, the team traveled to Riverside.

Boys singles

Bryan Poe (R) def. Wesley Davis (WR) 6-0; Daniel McCormick (R) def. Alex Long (WR) 6-2.

Boys doubles

Curtis Jackson and John-Scott Kelley (WR) def. Poe and O'Guinn (R) 6-4; Casey and Anderson (R) def. Anthony Baker and Blake Ross (WR) 6-0; Warhurst and Fletcher (R) def. Heath Kennedy and Luke Holloway (WR) 6-1.

Girls singles

Alivia Hackworth (WR) def. Holly Dudley (R) 6-4.

Girls doubles

Emery and Campbell (R) def. Cheyanne Stayton and Hackworth (WR) 6-1.

Crowley's Ridge Academy

The Walnut Ridge boys hosted CRA on Sept. 16.

Wesley Davis (WR) def. Morgan Smith (CRA) 6-1; Curtis Jackson (WR) def. Barrett Smith (CRA) 6-0; Alex Long (WR) def. Colby Wallis (CRA) 6-1; Anthony Baker (WR) def. Cole Pearson (CRA) 6-1.

Boys doubles

David Ramsey and Parks Carpenter (CRA) def. Kennedy and Jeremy Wichman (WR) 6-2; Sam Morris and Andrew Smith (CRA) def. Long and Ross (WR) 6-2.
