Mustangs run over Mountain View
Cook wasted no time in getting the Mustangs on the board, scoring on a two-yard run and adding the extra-point for a 7-0 lead with 11:05 to play in the first quarter. Houston Waldrupe extended Hoxie's lead on a 19-yard run with 5:10 remaining in the quarter. Cook's PAT made it 14-0 in favor of the Mustangs.
Mountain View cut the Mustangs' lead to 14-6 on a 52-yard run with 3:29 left in the opening period.
Bobcats claw Thunderbirds, 51-6Walnut Ridge jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, as the Bobcats moved to 2-0 on the 2008 football season with a 51-6 win over the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves on Friday night at Sexton Field.continued...
