Hoxie homecoming is Sept. 26Hoxie High School will host its football homecoming Sept. 26 when the Mustangs take on Manila. Senior maids are Heather Ingram, daughter of Bill and Sheila Ingram of Imboden; Whitlee Parrish, daughter of Shawn and Angie Parrish of Hoxie; and Raven Gates, daughter of Wesley and Tracy Gates of Hoxie. Miranda Sullens, daughter of Kari Taylor of Walnut Ridge, Jamey Sullens of Walnut Ridge and Dennis and Sherri Truxler of Hoxie, is junior maid, and Karina Mashburn, daughter of Terry and Rie Mashburn of Walnut Ridge, was named sophomore maid. Emily Freer, daughter of Allen and Nadine Freer of Alicia, was selected as the freshman maid. Pages are Mya Pinkston, daughter of Mike and Donna Pinkston of Walnut Ridge, and Samuel Lewis, son of Alvin Jr. and DeAnna Lewis of Smithville. Spirit week will be next week, as well, leading up to the homecoming game, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday is Ugly Shirt/Tacky Tie Day, Tuesday is College Team Day, Wednesday is Cowboy Day, Thursday is Patriotic Day, and Friday is Green and White Day.
