First-day enrollment shows

Numbers have fallen in all the county's districts to make up the total decline of 134 students from last year's figure.
Hillcrest's first day enrollment was 440, down six from last year's 446.
Sloan-Hendrix's first day figure was 534, compared to 561 in 2007.
First day enrollment for the Lawrence County School District's two campuses was 1,086, down 16 from last year's 1,102. Black Rock's campus was up 21 from last year's 283, but enrollment at the Walnut Ridge campus was 782, down from last year's 819.
Imboden Area Charter School's first day enrollment was 52, matching the enrollment in 2006, but down eight from last year's 60.
Hoxie School also saw a decrease in first day enrollment this year with 1,000, down 77 from last year's 1,077.
All area administrators expect these numbers to fluctuate some in the coming weeks.
