Goin' Postal Shipping and Printing, owned by Michael Montgomery and his wife, Shania, celebrated three years of business in Walnut Ridge last month.

The business opened in June of 2005 at its current location, 112 Southwest Fifth, off Main Street in Walnut Ridge.

When the business first opened it was a shipping and copying business, but it has expanded quite a bit in the past three years.

"The key to being successful in this area is diversification," Montgomery said. "That led us to expand our services to include a printing business and a sign business."

Goin' Postal now offers both black and white and full-color printing, as well as a full line of signs and banners. Graphic design services are also available.

Montgomery said they have also expanded their business by adding a location in Paragould at 1305 West Kingshighway (across from O'Reilly's). The Paragould location offers the same services as the Walnut Ridge store, plus blue print services.

The Walnut Ridge Goin' Postal staff consists of Anna Lawhon and Lauren Castleberry. Jennifer Midgett serves as manager at the Paragould location. Montgomery said both Lawhon and Midgett work at the other locations when needed.

Montgomery is active in the community in both Walnut Ridge and Paragould.

He is a member of the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Board, as well as the Iron Mountain Festival Committee and the Downtown Walnut Ridge organization.

He is also a member of the Paragould Civitan Club.

The Montgomerys have two children, Macy, seven, and Sydney, four.

"We would like to thank the residents and businesses of Lawrence County for their past and continued support," Montgomery said. "We look forward to serving you for many more years."
